SSD and NVMe
Both types include 3,000 IOPS and 125 MiB/s. SSD supports up to 8,000 IOPS / 250 MiB/s; NVMe up to 12,000 IOPS / 500 MiB/s.
Provisioned performance
Increase IOPS and throughput independently. These are combined read/write ceilings on shared storage; actual performance depends on the workload and instance.
Volume snapshots
Create snapshots on demand or on a schedule, then restore into a new volume. Snapshot creation is asynchronous.
