How it works today
Use one interface for a single-instance address, or attach to a pool to distribute new connections among healthy members. Private addresses stay within their VPC.
Attach to an interface
Public addresses require an internet gateway, a default route for the selected IP family, and security-group rules that allow the traffic.
Reassignment
Detach and attach it to another interface from the console or API.
Pool-backed addresses
Pool membership follows scaling. Configure health checks for application health; floating IPs do not terminate TLS or route HTTP requests.
